DIY Essential Oil Perfume

Posted by Zongle Therapeutics on

We have discussed the usage of essential oils in so many ways, recipes, and blends, and we are glad to share another combination of therapeutic aromatic wellness with you guys!

Making perfumes is not hard if you have a little knowledge about terminologies like, top notes, middle notes, and base notes. Also, fixatives are important as they help the fragrances from essential oils bond well and stay on skin for longer.

There are so many options you can go for when it comes to the perfume itself, ranging from alcohol-based ones to the ones that are solid or roll on based. Roll on based EO perfumes are easy to carry and apply therefore we would recommend using those if you’re doing it for the very first time and once it's in your comfort zone, you can then try and test other methods too.

For base try using a carrier oil that helps in increasing the shelf life of your EO based perfume and helps in retaining its fragrance rather than turning it rancid, like Jojoba Oil. And for mid notes or top notes, use a combination of EOs, that you love. Many prefer floral over musky or woodsy aromas, while for some citrus aroma is their go to choose. We have shared our favorite blend above, let us know yours.

Smell Fresh, Stay Healthy!

Happy oiling to you! 😊
